AROUND THE GLOBE this weekend people marched for the future of the planet. The message of the People’s Climate March to the climate-change denying idiocy
of the Trump administration was that his corporate-driven agenda will be resisted all the way down the line.
Media reports say that anywhere between 150,000-200,00 people marched in Washington while tens of thousands more participated in events throughout the United
States and around the word.
Commented Angela Adrar, executive director of the Climate Justice Alliance: "When our communities are most threatened by climate; the solutions we build
must allow us to have control of our resources and the energy we produce in an equitable and truly democratic way.”
Monday May 1, International Workers’ Days, will see further marches and rallies around the world and climate justice will again be one of the
issues highlighted.
